Absolutely heartbroken that this restaurant is closing - one of the only places I've ever gone that's remained at the center of my heart. Everyone that goes here loves it and deems it the best Rochester has to offer. This is not Jim's on main, this is not "another diner", this is the gem of all diners in Rochester.
I've been working in the mall for years, from back when this was Critic's and would come here all the time and still do. This is and will always be one of my favorite restaurants. The layout is very spacious and the servers are amazing. Let's talk about the menu here! There's so many different varieties from breakfast to lunch and dinner. I'm huge on breakfast in the mornings... so I'd always get their breakfast sandwich and a piece of chocolate cake ( hey don't judge me haha) But yes I would most definitely recommend Jim's EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
We came in on a Saturday around 8:30 am. It was abuzz with activity. Very friendly and attentive. The food portions were generous and delicious. I would highly recommend. Nissa was our server. She was very attentive and hospitable.
Excellent place to grab a quick bite or a full meal. We've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is excellent, so is the service. This has become our family's favorite place to go for a meal!
The food is always top-notch. The selection seems endless. And yet I've never had a bad dish! Service is amazing and quick. We had a table of four, and we're seated seated, served, and checked out in an hour and a half. And that was at near peak. At no point did I feel rushed.

The fish fry's are great at Jim's! A must have! Had the beer battered fish fry's on Friday and the regular fish fry on Saturday.. prefer the beer battered but both were still great! The fish portions are huge! The fries are better than most places, Macaroni salad and squash sides were both good too. We were too stuffed to attempt any of their wide array dessert assortments, an entire menu of desserts.. crazy!
A perfect diner atmosphere inside the mall. Whether you are shopping or just in the area, this is a great place for a great meal. We had lunch today. The Mrs. had a Mediterranean vegetable panini with fresh fruit. I had my second favorite, a Monte Christo with fries. Both were top-notch. Finished the meal with a slice of blueberry lemon coffee cake. The service was excellent and friendly. I am looking forward to a chance for dinner.
